Talking Heads September 25
It’s talk show day. This week is a potpourri of Plouffe, Palestine, Presidential prospects, and power politics. Please peruse the programming, per Politico, presented this week:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: One nation at the UN, and it’s not Palestine.
Meet the Press (NBC) — New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg talks about education policy and politics in advance of NBC’s second annual Education Nation Teacher Town Hall. And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who’s in New York for the opening of the United Nations General Assembly, shows up to talk about Palestine’s request for admittance to the United Nations as a full member state.
This Week (ABC) — White House senior adviser David Plouffe will talk about President Obama’s American Jobs Act proposal. Also. British Prime Minister David Cameron and Hanan Ahrawi, a member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, will be discussing the Palestinian bid for member state status at the UN.
Face the Nation (CBS) — Both national party chairs are here — Representatives Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and Reince Priebus (R-WI).

Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN): So nice, he shows up twice
State of the Union (CNN) — Plouffe, plus Senators Mark Warner (D-VA) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN), will talk about the latest budget showdown, with next Friday’s deadline to keep the lights on. Also, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels will discuss the Republican Presidential candidate field, while promoting his new book, Keeping the Republic: Saving America by Trusting Americans.
Fox News Sunday — Plouffe, and Senate Armed Services Committee member Lindsey Graham (R-SC).
Newsmakers (CSPAN) — Alexander, who’s leaving his Senate leadership position as Republican Conference chairman, will be here as well.
Political Capital (Bloomberg TV) — House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) most likely will be talking about his desire to drive the budget, or shut government down.

Speaking of “talking heads”… did everybody see last night’s SNL spoof of the most recent debate débâcle?
If not, do take a few minutes to watch it. Simply hilarious. Jon Huntsman speaking Chinese.. (“Scallion pancakes? How you pay?”) Newt admitting he doesn’t really want to be president… Rick Perry nodding off at the podium…
Best of all, IMO, was Ron Paul. “It’s not mah place! Let the puppies die!”
