This week, we began to deal with the aftermath of an American soldier slaughtering innocent Afghans. The NCAA Basketball Tournament began, distracting Nate Silver from more important things in the world. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney came in third place in both Alabama and Mississippi, losing the two states to former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA). Former House Speaker breaks his promise to drop out of the race if he lost both states. A Goldman Sachs employee quit in a manner that drops a nuclear bomb on a bridge, leading many other former employees of various companies to cheer, and prompting several parodies within hours. Rod Blagojevich checked in to his new home in Colorado.

Tomorrow, Missouri holds caucuses. Next week, the Supreme Court takes on another set of cases, and Illinois holds primary elections.

And today’s Friday, which means you’re in control of the conversation ship. What do you want to talk about today?

Don’t see an article on a particular topic, but want to talk about it somewhere? This is Open Mic. Talk about whatever you want, but stay respectful.

We create a new Open Mic every week to give a clean slate, but feel free to add to this topic at any time.
