Nico­las Sarkozy lost his job in France, and aus­ter­ity lost ground in Europe, with the elec­tion of François Hol­lande. And the stock mar­ket lost ground on wor­ries about Greece’s econ­omy, its impact on the Euro­pean econ­omy, and its impact on the Amer­i­can economy.
